Armand Mensen
head coach

Armand grew up in Canada watching football but it wasn't until he was 17 that he put on pads himself for the Barcelona (L'Hospitalet) Pioneers junior team playing TE and DE. While attending the University of Edinburgh he played for the local teamas well as founding and playing for the University team. Armand moved to Switzerland in 2006 and immediately started playing and coaching for the Grizzlies organisation. While playing for the NLA team, Armand was also head coach of the Junior team for the following three years before dedicating himself to pursue his academic career and focus on playing for the senior team. Since being with the Bern Grizzlies Armand started games at QB, WR, FB, OT and OG, but most often played TE. From 2012 to 2014 he served as the team's offensive coordinator before moving to Wisconsin, USA until returning to Bern in 2016. After two seasons away from football, Armand returned to the Grizzlies for the 2018 season serving as offensive coordinator, until being promoted to Head Coach for the 2020/2021 season.

offensive coordinator 

Clark wurde in Kalifornien geboren und spielte bereits in der High School Football auf der Position als Quarterback. Nach dem College und dem Bachelor-Studium in Soziologie an der University of Hawaii in Manoa führte Clark seine Karriere im Jahr 2016 bei den Ljubljana Silverhawks fort, wechselte zu den Dusseldorf Panthers und kam 2017 in die Schweiz zu den Calanda Broncos. Mit den Churern wurde Clark zweimal Swiss-Bowl-Champion, bevor er nach Frankreich zu den Thonon Black Panthers wechselte. Seit 2021 spielt Clark Evans als Quarterback bei den Bern Grizzlies. «I'm very excited to continue my career with the Bern Grizzlies Football Club. I plan to work hard day in and day out to help the Grizzlies grow into a top American Football Club in Switzerland and show that we can compete at an international level.»

John Falk
Defensive coordinator 

John Falk was born in Switzerland and played multiple sports before starting american football at the age of 24 with the Lausanne University Club (LUCAF) at Middle Linebacker. After two years playing for the Owls and a promotion in Swiss National League A, John received a scholarship for Baldwin Wallace University in the NCAA (US College League). Afterwards was able to have success with several top European teams, the Thonon Black Panthers (European Title) and the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions (German Bowl 2019 champions).

John was also part of the Swiss National Team from 2016 as Middle Linebacker and Captain of the team. After his last game in 2019, he decided to start a career in coaching and found a spot as DC as well as the strength and conditioning coach at Thonon Black Panthers. He is now the Defensive coordinator for us posting the best defense in the NLA in 2021.

Olivier Liechti
Offensive Line assistent

Seit 2017 coacht er die Offensive Line der Grizzlies. Er kam 1996 zu den Bern Grizzlies und war bis 2016 als Spieler, Coach und Teammanager im Einsatz. Von 2007 bis 2012 spielte er in der Nationalmannschaft. Seit 2012 ist er in der Nationalmannschaft als Assistant Coach tätig.
